Prof. Esteban Vöhringer-Martinez
Prof. Vöhringer-Martinez obtained his PhD in 2008 (Dr. rer. nat) at Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany. After a postdoc at the Max-Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen and at the Pontificia University in Santiago in Chile he moved to University of Concepción, where he was been appointed as Full profesor. His main research interests are computational reaction dynamics.

Associated Researchers
Prof. Aharon Gomez
Dr. Aharon Gomez graduated 2023 at QCMM and works at Universidad San Sebastian in Concepción. He is a close collaborator of the associated Max-Planck Laboratory lead by Prof. Vöhringer-Martinez.
Prof. David Saez
Dr. David Saez is a former QCMM member working at Universidad del BioBio in Chillan, Chile. He is an active collaborator in several projects with principal investigators at QCMM.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Juliana Andrea Murillo López
Her main research field is focused on the use of QM/MM methods for studying the chemical reactivity in small group transfer reactions (e.g. carboxylation, phosphorylation) involved in enzyme catalysis processes. She is currently applying these methods to study carboxylation reactions in Rubisco and CCr enzymes, in particular how changes in the active site (point mutations, substrate changes, metallic substitution) can affect enzyme reactivity.
